Our Preparatory Courses for Foreign Citizens are an efficient and effective way of improving your academic attainment. They are a good starting point for your university studies.

Preparatory Courses for Foreign Citizens are designed for international applicants/students whose academic readiness or Ukrainian/English level is not sufficient for direct entry to their chosen undergraduate/postgraduate programme. We accept students from a wide range of educational backgrounds and consider each application individually.

The preparatory courses aim to:

  • help international applicants/students develop the Ukrainian/English聽language聽skills they will need to follow a聽degree course聽or undertake research;
  • help international applicants/students develop the necessary cultural and study skills for effective learning through the medium of Ukrainian/English;
  • introduce international applicants/students to life in聽Ukraine聽and to Ukrainian culture;
  • give international applicants/students a chance to 鈥榮ettle in鈥 to the Ukrainian academic environment before starting their聽programme of academic study聽at 海角原创.

This foundation programme is taught on campus and is 鈥榶ear zero鈥 of a four-year course leading to a聽degree聽from the University. Students who successfully complete a foundation year are therefore able to progress into year one of their chosen聽degree subject聽providing they have taken the relevant pathway modules and passed them at the required standard.

As a student of the Preparatory Courses, you will be a member of the University community and will have access to the learning resources, support and facilities on offer.聽You will also have the opportunity to go on local excursions and cultural outings.

Normally, international students are offered聽补肠肠辞尘尘辞诲补迟颈辞苍听on the university campus during the foundation year.聽 Alternatively, there are many other types of聽accommodation聽available 鈥 some students prefer to rent a flat or room, while others share a house.
