All foreign applicants coming to Ukraine intending to study must obtain a student visa, which is only possible upon receiving an 鈥淚nvitation for study鈥� from the university they are applying to. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine defines the standard of the invitation letter.

To receive an 鈥淚nvitation for study鈥�, the following documents must be submitted to the University (translated into English/Ukrainian):

  1. Application form.
  2. Copy of the valid foreigner鈥檚 passport.
  3. Copy of the聽educational certificate or the transcript of records containing information about grades received.
  4. 奥谤颈迟迟别苍听肠辞苍蝉别苍迟听to personal data collection and processing.

Invitations for study are registered by the authorised state enterprise (the Ukrainian State Center for International Education) in the Electronic Register.

The authorised state enterprise within the 聽five working days聽from the date of receiving from the university the electronic invitation verifies the personal data entered by the university, assigns the invitation registration number in the Electronic Register, and sends the electronic version of the registered invitation to the university to fill in the invitation form.

The registration of the submitted by the university invitation can be refused if such an invitation is issued by other educational institutions and registered in the Electronic Register.

The university sends the original of the registered in the Electronic Register invitation to the foreigner or his/her authorised person to assist in visa application to study in聽Ukraine.

The invitation is filled in by the educational institution in printed Ukrainian and English.

The invitation is valid for up to 1 year now.

The authorised state enterprise based on the data of the Electronic Register provides the corresponding diplomatic representatives and consular offices with the information concerning the registered invitations (complex of information and consulting support services of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education).
